Varsity fetes 11 leading paediatricians

Ajman: The Gulf Medical University (GMU) honoured 11 leading paediatricians from across the UAE for their achievements in the field and outstanding service to the community during the National Conference on Paediatric Emergencies on Saturday.

Dr Shaikh Majid Bin Saeed Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ruler's Court, Ajman and chief guest of the conference, presented the special awards to the paediatricians.

Thumbay Moideen, founder president of GMU, who presided over the special event, conveyed his appreciation of the paediatricians' contribution to society.

"Our endeavour is to recognise the contributions made by doctors, both nationals and expatriates, in their speciality and highlight their achievements. This is a token of our appreciation and we wish to make this an annual event. We will be choosing experts from various specialities," Moideen said.
