Unified physical activity curriculum for Dubai schools in pipeline
Plans are also underway to introduce unified education curriculum in physical activity in schools
Dubai: The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) is planning to implement international best practice guidelines for physical activity in schools. Plans are also underway to introduce unified education curriculum in physical activity in schools.
"We are looking to introduce optimal physical education program and we are working with various stakeholders in this regard," said Laila Al Jassmi, CEO of Health Policy and Strategy Sector at the DHA, at a seminar on physical activity held in Dubai.
The DHA has met with relevant stakeholders including Her Royal Highness Princess Haya Initiative for the Development of Health, Physical Education and School Sports, Ministry of Education and the Dubai Sports Council in this regard to discuss their experience in terms of school physical activity and the way forward to implement unified programs for the benefit of school children.
