Dubai: The Ministry of Health has prepared a full fledged plan to prevent the spread of swine flue in schools, said Dr Ali Ahmad Bin Shakar, Director General of the Ministry of Health (MoH), Arabic newspaper Al Bayan reported.

Dr Bin Shakar said that schools will be supplied with a list of procedures to follow in case a student is suspected of acquiring swine flu.

Schools are advised that when a student shows symptoms of the virus, such as high temperature, they should be immediately referred to the school's clinic and then sent to either the closest medical centre or a hospital depending on the severity of the case.

In such an instance, all students will undergo a medical check up to ensure that non have any symptoms of swine flu, Al Bayan reported.

A team from within each school will be formed to be responsible for carrying out educational courses and lectures to staff and students, Dr Bin Shakar said.
