Abu Dhabi: Sixty state-of-the-art ambulances are set to join the fleet of emergency vehicles in the capital, SEHA [Abu Dhabi Health Services Company] announced this morning.

Costing Dh750,000 per unit, these technologically advanced and fully equipped ambulances will be distributed to the hospitals under the management of SEHA.

The ambulances, classified as Type II and Type III, are being acquired from Horton Emergency Vehicles, who is the largest producer of ambulances and specialty vehicles in the United States. "By using the latest technology in this field and by customising our services, we will improve the delivery of services to our patients," said Saif Badr Al Qubaisi, the managing director of SEHA.
