Health facilities in Sharjah closed down
Sharjah: The Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) has closed down a number of health facilities due to their failure in meeting the necessary requirements, and the clear violation of the legislation and listings made by the Sharjah Economic Development Department.
This came during a series of evening inspections by SEDD, aimed at health centers in the emirate. The campaign forms part of the department's periodic inspection schedule of all facilities and institutions which fall under its jurisdiction, and is aimed at meeting job licenses standards, according to a press release by SEDD.
"The department is conducting further investigations on the reported facilities, and is monitoring all procedures carried out to ensure that no further complications arise as several serious issues.
The Sharjah Economic Development Department has provided a deadline by which all laws and conditions should be applied," the release quoted an SEDD official as saying.
SEDD called on all facilities to comply with the laws and legislations, stating that periodic investigation campaigns will take place to ensure that practice requirements are adhered to.
The department also praised the inspectors' awareness and work efficiency.
