Dubai: The Dubai Municipality on Tuesday launched a public awareness campaign to prevent heat related hazards this summer.
Inaugurating the activities of the 10-day campaign, Hussain Nasser Lootah, Acting Director General of the Municipality, said many lives can be saved, if people are made aware about heat-related illnesses.
"Simple measures such as recognising symptoms of heat stress and giving proper first aid to the victims can help save lives," he said.
Redha Hassan Salman, Director of Public Safety Department at the Municipality, said the campaign, undertaken in co-operation with National Trading & Pharmaceutical Est, will advise the public on first aid measures.
