Dubai: Dubai Health Authority unveiled its new logo on Sunday, a star, after almost 1,000 staff voted for it, out of four options.
A press statement from the authority stated the star symbolised the organisation's aspirations for the future.
Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid, director-general of Dubai Health Authority (DHA), said the authority wanted the staff's input as they represented the new authority.
'Health affects us all - young and old, families and friends. It was therefore appropriate that the logo should be chosen by the men and women working within the medical sector," he said.
He added the staff voted overwhelmingly for the final concept.
DHA has about 6,000 staff.
