UAE public sector holiday on Sunday to mark Isra Wal Meraj
The public sector will get a one-day holiday on Sunday, July 19, to mark Isra Wal Meraj, it was announced on Sunday.
Abu Dhabi: The public sector will get a one-day holiday on July 19 to mark Isra Wal Meraj, Prophet Mohammad's (PBUH) ascension to heaven.
According to a circular issued by Humaid Mohammad Obaid Al Qutami, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Federal Human Resources Authority, public sector employees will get a day off to celebrate the occasion.
The ministry congratulated President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates.
It also congratulated the Arab and Muslim nations.
