UAE, Kazakhstan aim for strategic partnership
President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in Astana on Monday on a three-day visit to Kazakhstan.
- Shaikh Khalifa is received by Nazarbayev at the airport in Astana on Monday. During his three-day visit, the UAE President will hold talks with the Kazakh President on bilateral relations and cooperation as well as other issues of mutual concern.

Astana: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in Astana on Monday on a three-day visit to Kazakhstan.
Shaikh Khalifa was greeted by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and other senior officials.
The President said the UAE was looking forward to forge a strategic partnership with Kazakhstan and expressed hope that his talks would give a big boost to the cooperation between the two countries.
Earlier in Abu Dhabi, Shaikh Khalifa was seen off upon his departure by General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair, Speaker of Federal National Council, Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Interior, Shaikh Tahnoun Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Emiri Aviation Authority in Abu Dhabi, Shaikh Ahmad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Foundation for Charity and Humanitarian Works, Shaikh Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, Shaikh Mohammad Bin Butti Al Hamed, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, Shaikh Ahmad Bin Hamed, the President's Special Advisor, Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Public Works, Colonel Shaikh Ahmad Bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Critical National Infrastructure Authority, Abdullah Al Masoud, Speaker of National Consultative Council, and a number of shaikhs, ministers and senior civilian and military officials.
The President will be accompanied by high-ranking delegation comprising Shaikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in the Eastern Region, Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Presidential Affairs Minister, Foreign Minister Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abdul Rahman Al Owais, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, Ahmad Juma Al Za'abi, Deputy Presidential Affairs Minister and Ebrahim Hassan Saif, UAE Ambassador to Kazakhstan.
