Sharjah: The Government of Sharjah on Tuesday launched a project that will provide each Emirati family with a library of 50 books.
The year-long project is held under the slogan 'Knowledge without Borders' and will be carried out on several phases to cover all areas of Sharjah.
"We face challenges that influence our values, customs and traditions that obliged us to increase the knowledge base for the community members, which would in return preserve our Islamic and Arabic identity and language," said Marwan Jassim Al Sarkal, Deputy Head of the Organising Committee of 'Knowledge without Borders'.
