Shaikh Mohammad issues decree establishing nuclear energy committee
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai issued a decree establishing a nuclear energy committee for the emirate, to be headed by Saeed Mohammad Al Tayer.
Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai issued a decree establishing a nuclear energy committee for the emirate, to be headed by Saeed Mohammad Al Tayer.
The committee, which will be part of the higher council for energy, will be responsible for supervising the peaceful use of nuclear energy to generate electricity and water desalination. It will also prepare strategic plans to be submitted to the council for approval and follow up its implementation. The newly established entity will represent the Government of Dubai in all joint projects in the field of peaceful nuclear use locally and internationally.
The committee's membership includes engineers, Waleed Ali Salman, Khalid Abdul Razzaq Al Khaja, Yousuf Ahmad Abdul Dayem, Dr. Riad Mohammad Belhoul, Dr. Abdul Qadir Al Khayyat, and Dr. Mohammad Ali Shahin.
