Praises efforts of Al Khaleej centre

Abu Dhabi General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Wednesday visited the Al Khaleej Autism Centre in Khalidiya, Abu Dhabi.
Upon his arrival, Shaikh Mohammad was received by the centre's administrative and teaching staff, and Mariam Ahmad Al Mazroui, who set up the centre after she discovered that her son was affected with autism.
Shaikh Mohammad was also greeted by Saeed Al Mazouri, Director of the centre and Mariam's husband.
He also toured the centre's various sections which include 42 students, 20 of which have been integrated in ordinary schools and the rest are being rehabilitated in the centre.
Shaikh Mohammad praised the efforts of those running the centre and the services offered to this category. He also pointed out that tending to those inflicted with autism must be a joint responsibility to be shouldered by different establishments and departments.
Awareness
Shaikh Mohammad also said that more awareness has to be spread regarding autism and the backing of their families.
He also highly praised the initiative of setting up the autism centre which reflects a great sense of responsibility.
