Public sector holiday to celebrate Eid Al Fitr announced
All ministries and federal-government institutions will be closed from September 29 to October 4, with work resuming on October 5, according to a circular issued on Monday by Humaid Mohammad Al Qatami, Minister of Health and Chairman of the Civil Service Commission.

The minister seized the opportunity to extend his greetings to President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr.
He also wished the people of the UAE and the Islamic world on the happy occasion.
Salary
Meanwhile, employees of all Abu Dhabi government departments will receive their salary for September on the 25th.
According to Shaikh Mohammad Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Department of Finance, the kind gesture, which is in line with the directives of Shaikh Khalifa and General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, is to enable both nationals and expatriates to cater for the needs of their families during the Eid Al Fitr.
