Abu Dhabi Officials in the UAE considered the reshuffle of the UAE Cabinet a central part of the new UAE strategy which is in line with the vision of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minster of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Dr Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, undersecretary-general at Abu Dhabi Executive Council, said, "The Cabinet reshuffle is a step in the right direction to a better future. We wish the old ministers all the best and we wish the new ones success in their positions. The policy of change is important. Acting at the right time is also important for the strategic plans."

He said appointing four women in the Cabinet is a remarkable step for the UAE and proves that women also play an active role in society and have been given big chances to be in leading positions.

Brigadier Mohammad Salem Bin Owaida Al Khaili, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Naturalisation and Residency Department, said: "The reshuffle is very important to keep up with the new developments taking place in the economic and construction fields, which has affected other fields. Our leader's vision is clear and seeks to serve citizens and their needs."

He said appointing four women in the Cabinet reflects late Shaikh Zayed's vision and belief in women power in society and public work.

Bilal Al Boudor, undersecretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development, said, "The philosophy of the reshuffle was clear from the beginning and it is a part of the vision to develop the country."

"The reshuffle at this stage focuses on economic issues as it is a period of further empowering the national economy. The Cabinet works according to a clear plan and vision and the minister's duty is to make the plans a reality," he said.

Ebrahim Abdul Malek, Secretary General of the Youth and Sports Authority, said: "It is the first time that a reshuffle has happened in the government in a short span of time. This is a new direction by Shaikh Mohammad who is convinced about injecting fresh blood."

Abdul Malek said achieving the government' strategic plans have positive impacts on the government's performance and will offer better services.

Abdul Malek said each phase of the government always requires new members. He said: "Previous ministers have given their best to the country and as citizens we appreciate their efforts."

Hussain Nasser Lootah, Acting Director General of Dubai Municipality, said: "Change is one of the most important elements of administrative success. We hope that the new Cabinet will continue the journey of success of previous ministers."

He said teamwork and cooperation between local and federal departments means success of the country.

"Shaikh Mohammad has a vision in choosing the ministers and this is a characteristic of a prime minister and a leader who seeks the country's progress," Lootah said.

Rashid Abdullah Allai, Deputy Director of Sharjah Consultative Council, said Shaikh Mohammad is a practical and a knowledgeable leader who believes in more work than theories.

"Shaikh Mohammad taught us that our country's progress requires practical people who work more than they talk and his idea is to give the best to everyone residing in this land," he said.

Allai said previous ministers have done the jobs assigned to them, but rapid changes are for the wellbeing of the society.

Allai said it is an administration which is built on decentralisation, and the focus is on the people's needs and this is what Shaikh Mohammad has done by visiting citizens at their places.

"This is a lesson, which we have to learn from. Shaikh Mohammad's initiatives have placed the country on international levels," he said.

Colonel Ali Abdullah Alwan, Ajman Police Chief, said: "Shaikh Mohammad always granted his great attention to all the people and to everything in the country. His choices always had noticeable impact on the country's success."

He said new changes and expertise are always needed.

"We wish the new Cabinet members will give their best to the country and the citizens and support the development in line with Shaikh Mohammad's vision," Colonel Alwan said.

Brigadier General Mohammad Al Nobi, Deputy Director of the RAK Police said the Cabinet reshuffle is a key requirement for the new UAE strategy.

"Development and expansion require the creation of new ministries according to the needs of the society," he said.

Saeed Rashid Al Khtaibi, Deputy Director of Fujairah Education Zone, said: "The leadership has a strong vision for the future, and we welcome the new Cabinet reshuffle, thanking those who have been released from their positions and wishing the new appointees all the best.

Al Khtaibi said education is such a vital nerve of the society that it requires special attention.
