New ministers pledge to rise up to challenges
Appointees thank Khalifa and Mohammad for expressing faith in them and say they are honoured by new assignments

Dubai/Abu Dhabi: Dr Rashid Ahmad Bin Fahad, Minister of Environment and Water, said: "I am honoured by this new assignment. I hope and will try to be up to the trust that President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minster of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, have granted me with this new responsibility. This new task will ultimately encourage me to work harder for the UAE."
Speaking to Gulf News by phone from the US, Saqr Gobash Saeed Gobash, Minister of Labour, said he was very happy and honoured and expressed his gratitude for the new assignment.
Dr Maitha Salem Al Shamsi, State Minister, thanked Shaikh Khalifa and Shaikh Mohammad for her new assignment.
"I will do my best to utilise all the experience, which I acquired in my previous job, in serving my country and my people while carrying out my new duties. I wish to rise to the challenge and meet the aspirations and responsibilities assigned to me. I am ready to carry out any duties related to my new post," she told Gulf News.
Dr Hadef Jua'an Al Daheri, Justice Minister, said: "This is a big responsibility. I thank the President and the Vice-President for this trust. I seek help from God to enable me to carry out this major responsibility properly and successfully."
He said the Justice Ministry's work will be as one team and "justice is the basis of ruling and this why it's an important and major task."
Dr Khalifa Bakheet Al Falasi, Minister of State, said: "We appreciate the leadership for the confidence which entails our responsibility to continue the route trying our best to benefit the federation and the state with intellect and opinion, and supporting this harmonious attachment between the leadership and the public..."
"We will also endeavour to support the accomplishments of the federation, emphasising its role in people's lives, maintaining their historical values and optimistic future in a positive manner."
"The effective, developed, and positive contribution to the federal entities is of crucial importance at this stage which reflects a clear and advanced vision."
