Naturalisation and residency chiefs told to set sights higher
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday met with the Director of the Naturalisation and Residency Department at the Interior Ministry and directors of local naturalisation and residency departments.

Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday met with the Director of the Naturalisation and Residency Department at the Interior Ministry and directors of local naturalisation and residency departments.
Present during the meeting were Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Interior Minister, Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs.
Electronic link lauded
Shaikh Mohammad thanked the directors for their efforts in successfully completing electronic link between the different naturalisation and residency departments.
Shaikh Saif praised the Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department for being the first to implement the electronic processing system in all sections.
He said that the move had motivated others to speed up the link, which will improve services delivery standards all over the country.

Shaikh Mohammad presented ISO 2000/9001 certificates, issued in collaboration with the Ministry of Governmental Sector Development, to Brigadier Mohammad Salem Bin Owaidah Al Khaily, Director of the Naturalisation and Residency Department at the Interior Ministry and to the directors of naturalisation and residency departments Brigadier Mohammad Ahmad Al Merri of Dubai, Colonel Ali Alwan of Ajman and Umm Al Quwain, Nasser Al Awad Al Minhali, of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, Colonel Mubarak Rabee Mubarak of Fujairah, Colonel Jasem Eisa of Ras Al Khaimah and Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Abdullah Ali Bin Sahooh of Sharjah.
Shaikh Mohammad congratulated the directors and urged them to put more effort in serving their country and improving their respective departments' performance.
