Mohammad tells ministers to help develop juniors
Vice-President wants Cabinet to work hard to improve citizens' lives.
- His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday received Dr. Shaikh Mohammad Al Salim Al Sabah, Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, who briefed him on the outcomes of the meetings of the GCC foreign ministers and the joint UAE-Kuwaiti committee. Shaikh Mohammad, who discussed regional issues with the Kuwaiti official, accepted Kuwaiti Emir Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah's invitation to visit his country.

Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, urged ministers to engage junior leaders in planning, implementation and decision- making in their ministries to develop teamwork and prepare future leaders.
"The Cabinet members should give a chance to the second and third-line leaders to be a part of planning, execution and decision-making and be well prepared to shoulder their national responsibilities in the future," Shaikh Mohammad said during Sunday's first session of the revamped Cabinet.
Shaikh Mohammad expressed dissatisfaction with UAE citizens travelling abroad to pursue education or receive medical treatment. "We should all work to reverse this equation by attracting others to come to our country for education and treatment, he said during the session which was attended by Deputy Prime Ministers Shaikh Sultan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Shaikh Mohammad said he would not be satisfied until all Emiratis are provided with all means of a dignified and decent life.
"I command you to make all possible efforts and come up with creative ideas for the nation's development and to improve living, health and education standards of UAE citizens," he added.
The Vice-President said he would hold each minister accountable if he or she fails to discharge his or her duties or shows any negligence or slackness, as the Cabinet will be accountable to Shaikh Khalifa and the UAE people.
