Mohammad calls on Palestinians to unite
The UAE on Wednesday urged the Palestinians to restore their unity and provide security and good living conditions for their people to enable them to establish an independent state.
Dubai: The UAE on Wednesday urged the Palestinians to restore their unity and provide security and good living conditions for their people to enable them to establish an independent state.
The call was made by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, during a meeting with Palestinian Prime Minister Dr Salam Fayyad.
Shaikh Mohammad and Fayyad discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian territories, the obstacles facing the peace process and Palestinian-Israeli negotiations.
"Establishing a Palestinian state is the legitimate right of the Palestinian people, to be able to live in dignity, equal to other peoples of the world," Shaikh Mohammad said.
Present at the meeting were Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, and other ministers and senior officials.
