Mohammad Bin Rashid attends Arab Media Forum

Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Wednesday attended the inaugural session of the Arab Media Forum in Dubai.
In his inaugural address to the forum, Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, welcomed the Arab media delegates and said that Dubai has become a leading media centre.
“Under the visionary leadership of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad, Dubai had long envisaged the importance of media, hence its massive investments in media projects such as Dubai Media City, Dubai Internet City and Dubai Media Forum, which has now become an invaluable venue for Arab media personalities,'' said Shaikh Maktoum.
The Arab Media Forum 2008, held under the slogan bridging ‘Arab Media Through Technology', is one of the longest running media events in Dubai. It is now in its seventh year and is organised by Dubai Press Club.
Attending the inauguration ceremony alongside Shaikh Mohammad were Shaikh Hasher Bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, Director of Dubai Media Department, Shaikha Lubna Al Qasimi, Minister of Foreign Trade, Sultan Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, and a number of senior officials.
