Leaders discuss ways to boost investment
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received on Monday, Syrian President Bashar Al Assad who is on a visit to the UAE.

Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received on Monday, Syrian President Bashar Al Assad who is on a visit to the UAE.
Shaikh Mohammad and the Syrian President held talks on fraternal relations between UAE and Syria.
They also discussed ways for widening the horizons of bilateral ties between the two countries, especially in the field of joint investments.
The two leaders expressed satisfaction over the Doha Agreement that paved the way for national reconciliation in Lebanon. The talks also touched on the Middle East peace process and the current situation in the Arab world.
In honour of the visiting head of state and the accompanying delegation, Shaikh Mohammad hosted a banquet that was attended by a number of shaikhs and state officials.
Shaikh Mohammad took President Bashar on a tour of Dubai's landmarks. They also visited the Dubai School of Government.
They met with a number of young national leaders from different governmental sectors and discussed issues related to Arab relations with the US, Iran and other countries.
The meeting was attended by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler, Shaikh Ahmad Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Corporation for Events Management, Shaikh Majid Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Culture and Arts Authority, and other senior officials.
