Khalifa to lead UAE delegation
Shaikh Khalifa had earlier received a letter from Syrian President Bashar Al Asad inviting him to the summit.
Dubai: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan will head the UAE's delegation to the 20th Arab Summit to be held in Damascus on March 29 and 30.
Shaikh Khalifa had earlier received a letter from Syrian President Bashar Al Assad inviting him to the summit. The announcement was made yesterday by Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, who said he submitted a report to Shaikh Khalifa on the outcome of the Arab foreign ministers' meeting in Cairo on Wednesday.
Shaikh Abdullah said Shaikh Khalifa has stressed the UAE's keenness to exert every possible effort to unify Arabs and implement the summit's decisions to serve higher Arab interests, especially at this critical stage.
