Khalifa receives President of Turkey at Al Dhiyafa Palace
President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan received Abdullah Gul, Turkish President, at Al Dhiyafa Palace Monday
Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan received Abdullah Gul, Turkish President, at Al Dhiyafa Palace Monday.
Upon his arrival, Gul was accorded an official reception ceremony where the national anthems of the two countries were played. Gul inspected the guard of honour in the Palace Yard, and 21 canon shots were fired in salute of the guest.
Gul then headed to the Union Hall, where he was greeted by General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
Also greeting the Turkish President were Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, and other Shaikhs, senior and military officials.
Shaikh Khalifa then greeted the delegation accompanying Gul, which included Ahmed Davutoglu, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mehmet Simsek, Minister of Finance, Vural Altay, Turkish Ambassador to UAE, and members of the Turkish Parliament.
Gul was accompanied by an honourary mission headed by Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, UAE Minister of Economy.
