Khalifa receives Palestinian president
President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Monday received at the Al Bateen Palace Mahmoud Abbas, President of the Palestinian National Authority.

Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Monday received at the Al Bateen Palace Mahmoud Abbas, President of the Palestinian National Authority.
General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, was present at the meeting, during which the Palestinian President briefed Shaikh Khalifa about the latest developments in Palestine.
The UAE President reiterated his country's support for all efforts being made to push forward the peace process to achieve positive results that would boost peace in the region and lead to the establishment of a Palestinian state in accordance with all signed agreements and the Arab peace initiative.
Shaikh Khalifa called on all Palestinian factions to listen to reason and to put national interest and unity before any parochial interest in order to achieve the Palestinian objectives that have been cherished for so long.
The Palestinian President praised the UAE, under the wise leadership of Shaikh Khalifa, for its positive stance in support of the Palestinian people with the aim of alleviating the sufferings brought on them by the Israeli occupation.
Also present at the meeting were Abu Dhabi Ruler's Representative in the Eastern Region, Shaikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan, Interior Minister, Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Foundation, Shaikh Ahmad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister for Presidential Affairs, Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, Shaikh Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a number of Shaikhs, ministers, senior officials, members of the delegation accompanying the Palestinian president and Palestinian ambassador, Khairy Al Aredi.
