Khalifa reaffirms support for Palestine
President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has reiterated the UAE's support for Palestinian people for them to achieve their legitimate rights, particularly their right to establish an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has reiterated the UAE's support for Palestinian people for them to achieve their legitimate rights, particularly their right to establish an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
Shaikh Khalifa renewed the pledge when he received Mahmoud Abbas, President of the Palestinian National Authority, in the presence of Shaikh Sultan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister.
The Palestinian leader briefed Shaikh Khalifa on the situation in Palestine in the light of the outcome of the legislative election and its reflections on the regional and international scenes.
Abbas praised the UAE, led by Shaikh Khalifa, for its continuous support for Palestinian people.
