Khalifa issues decree to create border affairs council
The council will be chaired by Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued federal decree number 98 for the year 2009 to establish a border affairs council. The Border Affairs council will replace the permanent committee for borders, WAM said.
The council will be chaired by Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
The Council includes in its membership: Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior as deputy chairman of the council, Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs as deputy Chairman.
It also includes Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister; Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman of Emirates Group; Ahmad Juma Al Zaabi, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs and the Chairman of the Intelligence and Military Security; and Dr Matar Hamad Hillis Neyadi, as member and Secretary-General.
