Abu Dhabi: Residents will not have any problem in accessing application forms for identity card registration henceforth, a senior offcial told Gulf News.
A free Pre Application Registration software replaces online application and is available on Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA) website www.emiratesid.ae, said Thamer Rashed Al Qasimi, Planning Director and Project Management Director at EIDA.
"We will also send it to organisations that offered to host it on their websites," following a Gulf News report on Monday, he said.
A lot of government departments and private organisations sent e-mail request to us after reading the Gulf News report, said Al Qasimi.
But it may take three to four days to produce free CD's of software in large numbers to distribute at EIDA centres.
We expect people, who collect a free software CD or download it from any websites, to distribute it to their friends so that everybody can register, said Al Qasimi.
