Abu Dhabi/Ras Al Khaimah/Dubai/Fujairah: Emiratis on Monday praised the reshuffle of the UAE Cabinet on Sunday saying the decision will add to the journey of progress and development.
Nadir Al Morour, an Emirati, said: "I believe any changes by the government are for the benefit of its citizens. Our leaders know what is good for the country and work on developing all sectors."
He said changing ministers is about the need to change for better future. It is a step in the right direction.
Khalid Selaiteen, a Dubai Municipality employee, said he has great faith in the new Cabinet because Shaikh Mohammad always makes the right decisions and is expecting the new cabinet to be of great aid for everybody living in the country.
Environment issues
"There is a lot that needs to be done especially in the field of environment and the labour market. I hope that the new Cabinet will focus more on the welfare of our environment because it is the core of life. More attention should be paid to spread awareness on environmental issues especially on the marine environment. Moreover, I hope that the ministry of labour will ease its regulations so they are more in line with the rapid growth that our country is experiencing," he said.
Jasem Al Awadi, employee of the economic development department in Dubai, hoped that the new Cabinet will work for the benefit of the country and its people.
"I hope that the new Cabinet will tackle the urgent issue of inflation and I am expecting more fierce regulations which protect the consumer and to stop the price monopolies. Other elements that need to be addressed are the education and health situations as they are the pillars of our growth and development," he said.
Khalid Bin Deemas, a businessman from Sharjah, said he has faith in the new Cabinet as Shaikh Mohammad always puts the right person in the right place.
"The reshuffle of the Cabinet which raised the number of female ministers from two to four reflects Shaikh Mohammad's vision on the importance of women's role in society," he said.
Abdullah Al Owaid, an Emirati from Ras Al Khaimah, said the Cabinet reshuffle was a perfect move at this point of time.
He added that this is a clear indication to all the employees on all levels that they should do their work in an efficient and creative way.
Abdullah Ebrahim Al Za'abi, an Emirati government employee, said: "change is often a good thing because it allows for people with new ideas and new energy to take up existing challenges."
