DNRD staff offered flexible work timing
Staff and officers at the Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department (DNRD) can now select when they prefer to start their work day which could be at 7:30am or at 9am.
Dubai: Staff and officers at the Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department (DNRD) can now select when they prefer to start their work day which could be at 7:30am or at 9am.
Major General Mohammad Ahmad Al Merri, Director General of DNRD said his staff now will have flexible work hours. "What is important is the productivity and quality of work," Major General Al Merri said.
He said the staff will have the choice on whether to start their work day at 7:30am and end it at 2:30pm or they can come to work at 9am and leave at 4pm.
Transactions
"That will depend on the needs and desire of the staff," he said.
Major General Al Merri said they realised that the public prefer to visit the DNRD to complete transactions around 9am.
"I believe applying such flexible work timings for our staff will increase their productivity and help them respond to the public's demands in a more effective way," Major General Al Merri said.
"It could also help in reducing the traffic jam on the roads," he said. Major General Al Merri said all the employees of the Residence and Entry Permit Departments at the DNRD will take up the new hours on an experimental basis."If it works we will implement it on all DNRD staff," he said.
