Abu Dhabi: British Prime Minister Tony Blair arrived in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday in an official visit to the UAE.

Blair's visit is part of a regional tour aimed at reviving Middle East peace negotiations.

Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE armed forces, received Blair at the airport.

On Monday, Blair was in the West Bank city of Ramallah to meet with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas.

Blair backed Abbas' call for fresh elections, saying: “I will not rest for a single moment ... Your people are suffering. We don't want anything to stand in the way of helping the Palestinian people.''

On Sunday, he met with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.
