An occasion to renew commitment
Abu Dhabi: "The giant strides made so far by the UAE testifies to the foresight of its leadership and the strong will of its people to forge ahead against all odds," said General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
In a statement marking the 34th anniversary of the UAE National Day, Shaikh Mohammad extended his heartfelt greetings to President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and to Their Highnesses, Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates.
Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, said the National Day is an occasion to renew the commitment to striking a crucial balance between achieving economic development and sustainable use of natural resources.
Shaikh Hamdan said the occasion was also a symbol of appreciation of the founding fathers of the nation.
