Abdullah: Support for development in Afghanistan vital
Minister meets Karzai and UAE contingents
Kabul: Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Foreign Minister, Wednesday visited the Afghan President Hamid Karzai and UAE contingents in Kabul.
Shaikh Abdullah conveyed to Karzai the greetings of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and his wishes for progress and prosperity to Afghanistan and its people.
Shaikh Abdullah stressed on the importance of increasing international efforts to support Afghan development programmes that will help the Afghan people.
Karzai extended his gratitude to the UAE for its contributions in the construction projects of Afghanistan. Shaikh Abdullah also visited the UAE contingent in Afghanistan, who are responsible for ensuring the delivery of UAE's humanitarian aid to the Afghan people.
He extended to the UAE contingent the greetings and appreciation of Shaikh Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, for the important and supportive role they are playing in the reconstruction of Afghan homes.
