100 Dubai Municipality workers leave for Umrah
The trip was made to commemorate International Workers Day
Dubai: A group of 100 municipality workers on Sunday left for the holy city of Makkah to perform Umrah, under the patronage of Shaikha Hind Bint Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum, wife of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality, extended his appreciation to Shaikha Hind for her continuous support for humanitarian initiatives and benevolence towards needy people.
The trip was made to commemorate International Workers Day.
Waleed Zarouni, Head of Housing Unit, HR Department, said the workers were extremely happy to get this opportunity and the leaders of civic body are very enthusiastic in arranging such initiatives for employees, especially for workers, in order to motivate them spiritually and provide them support.
