Dubai: A woman is searching for the man who called an ambulance when he saw her critically-ill father unconscious in his car. Her father later died.
"I want to know if my dad was in pain or not when he found him. I want to know what took place. It is important for me," said Veera Patrick.
Speaking from her home in the South Indian state of Bangalore, Veera, 23, said her family would like to thank the person who made sure that her father received medical attention.
After her father's death, the family moved back to India from Sharjah and is making a desperate attempt to get their life back to normal. Her father, A. Patrick, died on April 20.
The Patricks are still unable to come to terms with the loss of the 62-year-old head of the family, who had called up his family and friends a day before his death and told them how happy he was to have fin-alised his daughter's wedding. "He told everyone my daughter is getting married," said Veera who will go ahead with the wedding scheduled for May 17. "It was my father's wish and I want to make him happy."
She will never forget the moment when her mobile rang and a man told her that something was wrong with her father.
"I was at work when I got a call from my dad's mobile phone. I will never be able to forget that voice. He wanted to know whether I was related to the owner of the phone. He said he found my dad unconscious in his car. After I told him I was the daughter, he said that daddy has stopped his car in the middle of the road between Ansar and Safeer malls," said Veera.
