Why Jackson never sang Dubai's tune

Dubai: Michael Jackson is remembered as a complex human being by Padma Coram, managing director and partner of Talent Brokers.
Deeply saddened by the news of Jackson's death, Padma recalls a 1994 concert scheduled in Dubai that unfortunately never took off.
Speaking to Gulf News from Paris she said: "I shall now dust off signed pictures with him. He made people happy and connected with his fans worldwide with his music.
"My first Michael Jackson experience was at London's Wembley Stadium for his Dangerous world tour in 1988. I am yet to see a spectacle by any single artist which leaves you completely stunned with awe. This was enough to prompt me to say that my company the Talent Brokers will work at bringing him to Dubai.
"Tickets for the show were sold out in less than 24 hours with an average ticket price of Dh1,000 for 26,000 people. A record still not beatable in today's Dubai," said Padma.
She said that when her husband Richard, Managing Partner of the Talent Brokers, met Jackson prior to his tour in Dubai, he was stunned on the amount of homework had done on the city.
"Richard flew to Singapore to see Jackson perform in a show before his trip to Dubai. Elizabeth Taylor and Michael spoke to Richard and he was stunned by how much homework [Jackson] had done on Dubai and our company the Talent Brokers. Unfortunately the accusations swirling around him meant his trip would only be a memory."
