Dubai: The Federal Electricity and Water Authority (Fewa) said the water shortage in Ras Al Khaimah will end within a week as the maintenance work of Al Nakheel desalination plant will be completed on April 14.
Mohammad Khalil Al Shamsi, Director of Communications at Fewa, said the water-supply shortage was not severe and that the Fewa mobilised water tankers to all parts of the emirate in an effort to compensate this temporary shortage and to supply water free of charge.
He asked residents to call the clientele service department of Fewa in case they face any problem until the regular supply is restored.
