Abu Dhabi: The UAE has been able to instill the voluntary work spirit in the past three decades, said a senior official at the Interior Ministry, during a training workshop organised by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development in Abu Dhabi, on the importance of voluntary work.

Brigadier Mohammad Badah Al Awadi, Acting Director of Public Relations Department at the Interior Ministry, said one of the important indicators of any nation's development is the amount of its voluntary work.

Statistics have revealed that voluntary work save societies huge amounts of money estimated in billions. It also helps the participants gain experience and ensure that the energy of unemployed personnel does not go wasted.
