Truck driver and assistant killed in accident on Emirates Road
A truck driver and his assistant were killed in an accident on Emirates Road on Wednesday, said Dubai Police.

Dubai: A truck driver and his assistant were killed in an accident on Emirates Road on Wednesday, said Dubai Police.
A truck plying on the last lane of Emirates Road suddenly slowed down and stopped after an engine breakdown. The truck coming right behind also stopped, but a third truck failed to notice this and rammed into the second truck. The third truck swerved and hit the concrete barrier by the roadside.
The driver and his assistant in the third truck died in the accident, said the police.
