Tints on car windows come under scrutiny
Traffic Police here received 10 devices, which can determine the level of tinting on car windows.
According to Engineer Asim Mohammed Al Muheiri, Head of Electronic Development at Dubai Operations Department, the equipment was wholly produced at Dubai Police workshops. It took one year to produce them.
He pointed out that the equipment helps in determining the level of tinting on a car if it is above the limit permitted by the police.
It will give an accurate assessment helping police to catch offenders. Police will fine motorists whose cars exceed the 30 per cent permitted limit for tinting.
