Television tower in Jumeirah to be demolished on Friday
A television tower in Jumeirah will be demolished and replaced with the latest fibre optical system, said Ahmad Abdulla Al Shaikh, Managing Director of Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI).
- The tower is to be replaced with the latest fibre optical system. It will be demolished at 7.30am on Friday.

Dubai: A television tower in Jumeirah will be demolished and replaced with the latest fibre optical system, said Ahmad Abdulla Al Shaikh, Managing Director of Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI).
All safety measures will be taken while demolishing the tower on Friday, in coordination with the engineering office of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, said Al Shaikh.
The Jumeirah TV tower, which was built more than 33 years back, is the oldest in the region.
