Syrian mechanic dies after vehicle collapses on him
A Syrian sustained serious injuries later died after part of a heavy vehicle collapsed on him while is was working on a vehicle in the Al Nakheel area, Friday.
Dubai: A Syrian sustained serious injuries later died after part of a heavy vehicle collapsed on him while is was working on a vehicle in the Al Nakheel area, Friday.
The 23-year-old heavy machines mechanic identified as S.H was called to a workshop to help fix a heavy vehicle.
S.H started work under the vehicle whose cabinet was not hanged properly and while the Syrian mechanic was busy with fixing it, the cabinet fell on him where he suffered very serious injuries.
Police sources confirmed the incident and said that a police investigation was launched in the incident, where the initial investigation revealed that the cabinet fell on the mechanic as it was not properly hanged. The police investigators have summoned owner, the laborers and eye witnesses of the incident for investigations.
The body of the Syrian national was referred to the morgue in Saqr Hospital to be later handed over to his family for burial.
