Ras Al Khaimah: An Egyptian labourer on Monday sustained a deep cut to the head and a broken leg after falling from the top of one of the emirate's ports.

A police officer said it was a miracle the 25-year-old, identified as A.Z., was still alive. He fell from a height estimated to be more than 10 metres.

He was admitted to intensive care. A police and also an internal port investigation have been launched.
