Plan to develop safe communities
Symposium discusses strategic implementation of decisions to achieve goals.
Abu Dhabi: The Education Council here recently hosted a Strategy Implementation Symposium.
Dr Mugheer Al Khaili, Undersecretary General for the General Secretariat of the Executive Council (ADGSEC), said that the authority will support the Abu Dhabi government and agencies in developing and implementing a safe community.
While giving a speech during the opening of the symposium, Al Khaili added: "Strategic planning is not a goal in itself, rather it is a tool to regulate government efforts, led by General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Executive Council, in developing the government of Abu Dhabi's institutional performance."
Dr David Norton of the US Palladium Group, discussed the numerous benefits of developing an economic vision that focuses on several objectives, including accelerating and promoting economic growth and sustainability, broadening the capital's enterprise base and enhancing productivity through social and human resources. Other key issues discussed were: improving infrastructure and environment, legislative reform, e-government initiatives, restructuring, and the participation of women in the social and economic life.
The seminar was attended by Dr Ahmad Mubarak Al Mazroui, Chairman, Abu Dhabi Health Authority; Major General Obaid Al Hairi Salem Al Katbi, Deputy Director General, Abu Dhabi Police; Juma Al Junaibi, General Manager, Abu Dhabi Municipality, Rashid Al Shariqi, Chairman, Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, among others.
