Fujairah: One man died and another is recovering in hospital after a head-on collision on Tuesday afternoon on the Masafi-Dibba road, said a hospital source.

The car driven by an Emirati, who was traveling from Dibba towards Masafi, collided head-on with a microbus driven by a Pakistani at a sharp turn near the main Masafi roundabout.

The Emirati was killed by the collision and the microbus driver was taken to Fujairah Hospital where he is in a stable condition, the hospital source added.

The Masafi-Dibba road is notorious for its sharp turns and two-way traffic flow and has constantly been witness to a number of accidents.
