Oman team studies Dubai department's e-government systems
An Omani delegation from Oman's Naturalisation and Residency Department visited the Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department to strengthen coordination.
An Omani delegation from Oman's Naturalisation and Residency Department visited the Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department to strengthen coordination.
Col Saeed bin Bleilah, Director-General of the Dubai department, said, "Both parties have benefited from the visit. DNRD is a branch of the Naturalisation and Residency Administration in Abu Dhabi.
"We are working on facilitating and quickening our procedures by adopting Information Technological methods to balance our requirements and the requirements of the public as we are a government sector that offers its services to the tourism and trade sector."
The delegation studied the progress made by the department, especially in online transactions.
The delegation visited the Naturalisation and Passports Section, Entry Permit Section, Residency Section and the Investigation and Follow-up Section. They reviewed the plans, the system used to review data and services such as the Tabseet fax and phone enquiry system.
It also studied the electronic payment system recently adopted by the government under the e-government initiative.
"We came out of this visit with a good impression about the DNRD," said Col Mohammed Al Hazmi, Assistant Director-General of Oman's Naturalisation and Residency Department.
