A mother of two was shocked to find that a takeaway burger was covered in black mould.
Dubai: A mother of two was shocked to find that a takeaway burger was covered in black mould.
The chicken burger, bought from a fast food outlet in The Springs, had been purchased as an evening meal.
The woman said: "My maid brought the meal home for me and my children - luckily she noticed the mould before she ate it. What would have happened if my children had eaten it? The restaurant offered us a replacement, but I said I didn't want it if it was going to be the same."
The outlet concerned was not available for comment.
The woman plans to report the incident to Dubai Municipality Food Control Section.
