Mohammad visits Dubai laboratory
The laboratory operates under the umbrella of Dubai Municipality.

He toured the laboratory's sections and was briefed on the services provided by each section and the work in progress. He praised the young employees for performing their duties with skill and efficiency.

Dubai: The Dubai Central Laboratory on Monday highlighted its role in maintaining public safety.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday visited the Dubai Central Laboratory.
The laboratory operates under the umbrella of Dubai Municipality.
Shaikh Mohammad was welcomed by Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality, Hawa Bastaki, Director of the laboratory, and staff, who expressed their happiness with Shaikh Mohammad's visit.
Hawa made a presentation defining the laboratory's various sections, the tasks of each section and its vision which aims to contribute to the protection of consumers and achieve customer satisfaction.
She highlighted the laboratory's microbiological food examinations, the international accreditation granted to the laboratory for its quality administrative system, as well as the technical international accreditation according to international standards required by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service.
Examining food
Shaikh Mohammad then visited the Inspection and Certification Section and the Food and Environment Section where he was briefed on the process of examining different types of food to ensure their fitness for human consumption and be granted the necessary health certificate.
Shaikh Mohammad commended the efforts of those who are doing their job with skill and efficiency in all laboratory sections.
Promotion: Decree Issued
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has issued a decree promoting Dr Ali Ebrahim Al Emam and appointing him as Head of the Court of Cassation.
The decree will take immediate effect, and is to be published in the official gazette.
