Meeting to address human security
Her Highness Shaikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, chairwoman of the UAE General Women's Union and Chairwoman of Arab Women's Organisation (AWO), will address the second Arab women's conference on Tuesday.
Abu Dhabi: Her Highness Shaikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, chairwoman of the UAE General Women's Union and Chairwoman of Arab Women's Organisation (AWO), will address the second Arab women's conference on Tuesday.
Queens, first ladies, women ministers, parliamentarians, women business leaders, high-profile delegates and key speakers will also witness the launching of an Arab woman media strategy and the launching of the immigrant Arab women agency.
Shaikha Fatima will also honour winners in research scholarship of the organisation and present the Arab women award for development in science and technology.
Specialists and participants in the two-day conference will discuss a major topic of human security in order to put a framework to empower Arab women.
The conference will highlight the reflection of human security concept on Arab women's life and her role in cultural, political, social and economic fields as well as its impact on women in war zones.
The first session of the conference will discuss the strategies and projects of Dubai establishment for women development.
Tomorrow the conference will hold four main sessions to explain the concept of human security.
