Identity cards to have cash facility
Registration for Emir-atis has already started for the cards whereas expatriates will follow suit soon.
Dubai: National identity cards in the UAE are going to be given cash and debit facilities in the same way as ATM cards.
InfoSpan Gulf, a regional technology and m-commerce company, has signed an agreement with the Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA), Abu Dhabi, to give the ID cards the 'SpanCash' facility.
Registration for Emir-atis has already started for the cards whereas expatriates will follow suit soon.
