Ajman: UAE Citizens from Abu Dhabi through Ras Al Khaimah are one family tied with bonds of love and kinship, His Highness Shaikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, affirmed on Sunday.

"This tie was strengthened by Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan under the banner of the federal state and President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan is now following his suit,'' Shaikh Humaid said during a meeting with delegates participating in the third Arab Culture Forum being hosted by the Ajman Department of Culture and Information.

Democracy

"As calls for democracy have increased over the past few years, the UAE people have tested democracy since long decades as the relationship between the ruler and the ruled one is based on interaction without restrictions ... it is much easier for a common citizen to meet his ruler in all circumstances and several occasions,'' he added.

"The UAE rulers and people are one body with common destiny in good or bad times,'' he added.

"The UAE is witnessing an amazing era of culture as culture has become one of the top priorities of the political leadership,'' Shaikh Humaid noted.

"The UAE hosting of Arab and non-Arab cultural events comes within the framework of cultural and creative interaction ... culture is the concrete bridge that can help reinforce inter-Arab ties and boost them with the others,'' he said.
