Abu Dhabi: The Orthodox Parliamentary Association has denounced the publication of offensive cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in Danish and Norwegian newspapers.
In a statement received by the General Secretariat of the Federal National Council yesterday, the association called on Muslims to show self- restraint and react calmly to the blasphemous caricatures.
The association also condemned all forms of expressions meant to ridicule or insult religious symbols or historic figures of any nation. The association stressed the need to resort to democratic dialogue as the only means to settle disputes among world nations.
